On July 8, the actor posted a video wearing a pink crop top, matching swimsuit bottoms, black platform boots, and a giant black bow in her hair, joking about internet trolls who criticize her appearance.
Despite this, rude comments persisted, with one person writing, "Go do some squats @katebeckinsale I think your a-- ran away."
That's when the "Underworld" actor fired back, revealing she had been hospitalized for six weeks, which led to weight loss.
"I watched my stepfather die shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and the stress and grief caused me to lose a lot of weight quickly," Kate Beckinsale revealed.
"I was in the hospital for six weeks because grief had caused a hole in my esophagus, leading to severe vomiting of blood and difficulty eating," Kate Beckinsale shared.
