Quavo and Lana Del Rey have released their highly anticipated new song "Tough" after weeks of teasers and speculation.
The "Tough" music video, directed by Quavo, Lana Del Rey, and Wyatt Spain Winfrey, features them slow dancing, playing guitar on a cottage porch, and enjoying the serene rural scenery.
"Tough," co-produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut, harkens back to the hip-hop-influenced sound of Lana Del Rey's debut, "Born to Die."
It marks Lana Del Rey's return to collaborating with a rapper since "Lust for Life," where she worked with The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, and Playboi Carti.
(Del Rey’s 2023 song “Peppers” features Tommy Genesis, but only as a sampled element from the Canadian rapper’s “Angelina,” rather than original contributions.)
Last year, Del Rey shared "Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd." She has hinted at a new country album titled "Lasso," set for release in September.
